Day Four: Nourishing

This episode is about the step we love to skip — nourishing.
Not as a nice-to-have. Not as self-care theatre. But as the thing that quietly determines whether anything else actually works.
Nourishing is how you set yourself up for success — in your body, your nervous system, your goals, your relationships, your creativity. Especially if you’ve been in survival for a long time (and let’s be honest, most of us have).
In this episode, I walk you through five concepts you can use to evaluate and strengthen your skill of nourishing — gently, honestly, and without pretending you’re someone you’re not.
You’re invited to notice:
Which of these you’re already doing
Where you might turn the dial up 1%
Which ones feel new, uncomfortable, or quietly relieving
The five nourishing concepts
Sequences
Nourishing starts before you take action.
We look at how to map sequences — where something begins, how it ends, and how to include rest before and after anything that costs energy. This applies to goals, conversations, emotional work, creative projects, and change. Slow, intentional sequencing is what builds real capacity.Nourishing the body (rest + food)
Resting like a lioness.
Feeding yourself in a way that matches the season you’re actually in — not the ideal one. This isn’t about perfection. It’s about micro-adjustments that increase your chance of success, whether that’s home-cooked meals or soup from a can.Asking for support
One of the most underestimated nourishing skills.
Asking for support nourishes you and gives others permission to do the same. It builds trust, connection, and resilience — and it matters more than getting everything “right” on your own.Nature + digital-free time
A double nervous-system reset.
We explore how even tiny moments of connection with nature, paired with time away from screens, can radically shift fight-or-flight and expand your window of tolerance — especially when you’re doing something new or scary.Nourishing yourself with language
How you speak to yourself shapes your capacity.
This is about replacing impatience and self-brusqueness with language that creates safety, compassion, and connection — especially in moments when younger parts of you are activated.
This episode is longer because nourishing is foundational — and because it’s the step we rush past on our way to “doing”, “activating”, and “achieving”.
Tomorrow, we move into activation — but only because we’ve built something solid to stand on first.
Take your time with this one.
Nourishing isn’t indulgent. It’s strategic.
See you tomorrow!
